Inveraray Oct 26th 1816

The trustees having considered the foregoing rentals,and having heard the Chamberlain upon the claims of deductions made by the tenants in respect of the great fall in value of stock and other unfortunate circumstances of the time are of the following opinion
That in regard to the tenants whose name and possessions the trustees have affixed a cypher no reduction should be allowed.
Those with figure 1 an abatement of 25% should be allowed to them out of the rent of the crop in the year 1816

His Grace the Duke of Argyll desire that the Women of every family ,tenant, cottar and labourer, upon his estate under my charge be required to spin each family six stones of wool betwixt this candlemass next 1793 at the prices paid in Glasgow for such work to be allowed them out of their Rents and that lists to be laid before His Grace of such as have complied and of those who have failed which Mr McNab will take the earliest opportunity of intimating to the families mentioned in the preceeding lists ..
