A search warrant had been granted by Neil MacGibbon of Glasvar JP to the Duke and Humphrey Graham Chamberlain of Argyll against Alexander Munro, Peter Munro, Duncan Munro son to Malcom, John Sinclair, Peter Campbell, Martin Munro and Duncan Munro tenants, and John McEoiskin in Auchindrain. The constable Donald McIntyre reported that he could not find any of the timber or bark. 31 Jul 1793

The plot thickens… just when you think the Families are convoluted, it seems the tenancies are even more so ..
Most of Peter Campbell and Isobel Ferguson's kids are born in Auchindrain, between 1762 and 1766 with Peter as a tenant.
Yet around 1777 they seem to leave the township.

At the time of the recording of the Duke of Argyll's Census (1778 at Auchindrain from the age of the children) Peter is NOT a tenant.
WHERE IS HE ?
A clue is the next child Christian who is born in Auchnagoul in 1783.
And then they come back to the Township where their ?last child Malcolm Campbell is born in 1787.
> In 1799 Peter is mentioned as father to Archibald, who is liable to be balloted to serve as militia.
